The temperature range of PVC(polyvinyl chloride)packaging boxes will be affected by a variety of factors,in general,its approximate temperature conditions are as follows:
PVC packaging boxes are usually divided into unplasticized PVC(UPVC)and plasticized PVC,and these two types have differences in temperature resistance.
Unplasticized PVC packaging box is relatively stiff,and its short-term heat resistance temperature can reach about 70°C.In this temperature range,it can basically maintain its own shape,physical properties and protection of the product.However,if it is in a high temperature environment close to 70°C for a long time,such as for several hours or even longer,it may gradually appear some deformation phenomena,such as slight bending,warping,etc.,which affects its appearance and the tightness of the packaging.
Due to the addition of plasticizer,the material is relatively soft and has good flexibility.Its short-term heat resistance temperature is generally about 60°C,which is slightly lower than that of unplasticized PVC.This is because the plasticizer may have a certain degree of volatilization or some physical and chemical changes at high temperatures,resulting in changes in material properties.When the plasticized PVC packaging box is in an environment of close to 60°C for a period of time,the same deformation problem may occur,and it may also be accompanied by plasticizer seepage,which not only affects the quality of the packaging itself,but also may cause pollution to the packaged product.
In terms of low temperature,the cold resistance of PVC packaging boxes is also limited.Generally,when the temperature is reduced to about minus 15°C to minus 20°C,the PVC packaging box will become more brittle and hard,its flexibility is greatly reduced,and it is easy to break.Especially in the case of external impact or extrusion during handling and transportation,PVC packaging boxes at low temperatures are more likely to be damaged,and thus cannot protect the internal products well.
It should be noted that the PVC packaging boxes produced by different manufacturers may have a certain fluctuation in the temperature range because of the differences in formula,process,etc.,but the overall fluctuation is in the above general range.Therefore,in practical applications,the storage and transportation environment temperature of the product should be fully considered to ensure that the PVC packaging box can effectively play its packaging role.
